HIP HOP WORLD AWARDS (HHWA) 2009 CANDIDATES
From the hip hop world awards began three years ago, has continued to improve in style and grandeur, and today is the time considered one of the Music Awards the most credible in Nigeria.
With the theme of this year's award entitled "A price to die for" chief executive HHWA, Ayo Animashaun and his crew would be established again to set the pace for the music awards in Nigeria. The event for the first time since its creation stay out of Lagos. This time will be held at the International Conference Centre Abuja on May 16, 2009.
Nominations for the prize this year is with the "Gongo Aso" Nice master "topping the list of nominations with six nominations. He 's been nominated for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and other four awards.
Next on the list of candidates is Dbanj, with four nominations. He will face Nice in the Album of the Year.
Rave the time rap star also bagged four nominations MI with his debut album "Tell us about it." Would have to deal with other major stars Nice and Dbanj in the category Album of the year.
Lord of Ajas also received two nominations for best rap album and best collaboration. If you thinking I'm thinking, MI would be a great challenge for the lord of dreams Ajas to strengthen this award.
NAET C Your face Idibia and both achieved three nominations each from their albums "Kini Big deal" and "Unstoppable", respectively. The 0809 Chico naija Banky W also received three nominations among which included Best Pop RnB album. A strong category I must say taking into account other nominees in this category. They 9ice, Tuface, Etcetra and Dbanj.
Naija Ninja Sound Sultan also has two nominations for his album SSSquad Dare Art Alade and his landslide only not "the girl I used to know."
Other artists who made the list of candidates include Psquare, Martins J, Don jazz, Jude Okoye, wahe, Dj T, ego, Timaya, Buffalo, Zeez, Dee-Bee, among others.
The other award category is the Hip Hop hall of Fame. They Obi Asika, Grand Master Lee, Trimnell Felipe, Lawani Eddy, Kenny & D1 and Ben Murray Bruce.
On May 16, 2009 event will be hosted by presenter Kemi Adetiba and Banky W Singer who happens to have several nominations so it is surprising that it was chosen to host the awards too.
As I always say that these days anything can happen!
